GOOD by whose definition?

I am GOOD at chasing girls and they all tell me that I am GOOD in bed. I am GOOD at cooking and GOOD at decorating. I am GOOD at Yahoo Answers (Got lots of best answers)

Oh! You mean is my behaviour GOOD. By whose definition.?

I'm not a child molester or a killer, I'm not a thief or a lawbreaker (Not too often anyway). I do not beat my wife or children, or drink, gamble or take drugs.
I am charitable, sympathetic to the misfortunes of others and help if I can. Does all of the above make me GOOD.?

NO. Because most definitions of GOOD are based on a religion and I have none, and most religions won't accept that you can be a nice, kind, responsible person without believing.

So what prevents me from being GOOD. Religion does.

Nothing really. I just choose my actions based on how I perceive the consequences. That's about it. Hence I am a law-abiding citizen, since I don't want to go to jail, and many other basic action-reaction things I don't think I need to reiterate here.

Not a good person in the first place. Not a pure heart. Not perfect in the second place. None is good but God. Only God is good.

If you're a believer, a near-paralyzing fear of eternal damnation.

If you're a non-believer, it's the understanding of right and wrong from a sociological perspective.
