There is no day of the week for updating fares. Fares are updated (and usually increased) based on how many seats on the plane have been sold. Fares are at their lowest before 30-50% of the seats have been filled, depending on the airline's pricing strategy. If it takes 2 months to book half the seats, that's how long it will take for the price to change. Expect several price increases between when the flight is officially open for booking (usually a year in advance) and the day of, as most airlines have multiple fare levels (called buckets) for coach tickets on the same flight. Seats are sold from the least expensive fare bucket first; when the maximum number of seats assigned to that bucket have been purchased, they stop selling at that bucket (price level) and only sell from the next least expensive, and so on.

Occasionally airlines will actually drop the fares somewhere between 2-6 days before the flight, if certain flights are not selling well, but there is no set day for those to be announced and no guarantee that the flight you want will end up being discounted if you wait.

usually they will announce the air fare would be increased due to higher fuel surcharge. basically airlines are not allowed to increase the air fare until granting the approval of government. besides, stiff competition would have made them to lower the fare so as to compete for more passengers. thus, there is not specific week or day that an airlines would update the fares.

e book now--they're going to inform you the fee and low priced days to fly and what hours are the main inexpensive... as quickly as you pay for a cost tag it quite is non-refundable. Dates can get replaced for a cost...
