I consider myself Christian, but no, believing the sun will rise tomorrow has nothing to do with faith. The earth will continue to rotate on its axis and my part of the world will turn toward the sun again, thus making it seem as if it is the sun that is actually rising. It is science, not faith.

That's not faith. That's like a hypothesis. Based on your observations. Scientific method and all that. There is substantial evidence for your conclusion that the sun will "rise" tomorrow. Not just some stuff in an old book.

I will answer with a question do you think a sunrise is beautiful I ask this of all even me when was the last time we watched the sun rise with a sense of wonder the gift that only we humans have? Try it in the morning get up before dawn go outside if you can't go outside open the curtain wide and watch the sun come up and in the silents of the berth a new day Dare to ask how can this be or why do I think this is beautiful then for a moment listen to the silents.
peace be with you

No it don't take faith that the sun will rise tomorrow, Just CS (Common Sense). But it takes God to allow the sun to rise tomorrow, Because God put 2 great lights in the sky, one great light to rule the day & a lesser light to rule the night, & God also Created the stars Gen. 1:16

I think so. It takes faith to believe that when I go to sleep I will wake up the next morning to see if the sun even rises. God promises no one another tomorrow. Live each day like it was your last and never forget to tell those you love how you feel for either one of you may not wake the next day.

Dear Sho-Nuff,

Both Ken and RKirby and a few others gave you excellent answers. To which I add that you have to accept the sun rising tomorrow by opening your eyes to the gift.

Along with what Funana said, I like to realize that on the day I die I will see 2 sunrises and no more sunsets!!!

The son does not rise. It is the earth's rotation which gives us the illusion of the sun rising and setting.
I have faith in God. I do not have faith in Mother Nature. If there is no more tomorrows, if the sun "does not rise", my faith would still be strong.

The sun rises every day. I believe it will rise tomorrow. That's not faith. That's knowledge from experience.

Actually, yes. We believe [or assume] that the sun will continue to burn tomorrow, and that the laws of physics won't change overnight.
You have faith in the chair that you are sitting in, that it won't collapse under you as you type.
