got perscribed to take it for 2 weeks today. i am scared has anyone ever taken it before?

I took it for a week, for Bell's Palsy. It affected my moods a bit, but nothin serious.

It may make you hungry, and may cause temporary weight gain. It can also be irritating to your stomach, so take it with food and keep some Pepcid or the like on hand. Steroids have gotten a bad rap because they have been abused, but used properly, and short term (two weeks is short term) they can be very helpful. There was a reason your doctor prescribed it, so if you still have concerns, talk to your doctor. Good Luck!!

Yeah, 2 weeks is no biggie. However, you may experience insomnia, a great deal of energy, and a little irritability.

a two week course of pred is no big deal. Those who take it long term are the ones that have issues with it.
