XP not detect modem.How to detect modem with xp

go to start, control panel, add hardware

you will need to have drivers for the modem, recommend going to the maker's site. (www.???.com), where ??? is the manufacturers' name

Obviously you will need to do this on another comp. as you dont have net access..

Did you check your PC to see if it would run XP before trying to install?

My Pentium III with Win98 would not. Had to get a new PC.
