I think you need to wear the apron. More women should wear them. Not only do they protect the clothes, but they look cute. Aprons are actually making a comeback (see below). Most of all, he is right - you will look more maternal!

Write down the story and tuck it away with the apron. It will be a sweet memory some day.

Wear it the next time his friends come over and make cookies and offer milk and cookies to him and his friends. Then just hang it up where ever you would hang an apron.

Wear it often...When you present him his pb&j with the crust cut off..or whatever his favorite toddler foods were. Pull his leg right back!!
It sounds like you've got a great kid and a reason to be proud!!
he won't be home too much longer........Enjoy him!

why don't you just use it? it is a Christmas gift after. i mean you wouldn't your son too feel sad now would you? so wear it for him, it'll make him feel happy! you shouldn't do what my dad done when i get him a gift for Eid, before that he would always take about always wanting a laser tag game set, and when i got him one for Eid he never used it once!

Appreciate what your son gifted. Show your appreciation by wearing it in front of his friends and let his friends know that your son got it for you.
