I am a 27 yr old black man from the La, CA. I'm 5'9", 160 lbs, w/ big drk brown eyes, shrt black hair, milk chocolate skin & a medium build. I am working on my degree & work full time for a hospital. *****Here is my question....It frustrates me that most Asian girls seem to not be attracted to Black men. More like repulsed really. I suppose you could blame the media. Black males are portrayed as criminals n gangsters but why is it these women as smart as they are can't look past that & see all black men are not like that? I have been raised in the suburbs in a city with many asians... and have many asian friends as well (both male & female) but it seems they have such a difficult time even comprehending being with a black man. Drop me a line here or im me **signed single, searcing, frustrated & confused in Los Angeles**

Well I can tell you this out of honesty and observation, so please don't take offense. Most asian women do not want to be with a black man because most (NOT EVERYONE) black guys here in houston are high school drop outs and act rude and degenerate. Most of them live in bad areas of town and the ones they see are always wearing gangsta apparel or a do-rag. It's a turn off for an educated female to hear ebonics. NOT ALL BLACK MEN are like this. you are educated. However, from the bad reputation from the media and the environmental surroundings, most asian women want men who have goals in life, intelligence, manners, and stability. Most black men here in houston are on welfare, either that, the education level and the way they act and present themselves in public are not exactly appealing. You see black men with their pants hanging below their underware, and listening to R&B and rap music very loud. I understand this is not true of every single black guy here, but because of the high numbers of people they see on a daily basis here, it's hard to not stereotype. Even I get stereotyped. But I have had many encounters with black men here. I have been called racist names and been robbed several times by them so it left me with a bad impression. I can't help but feel uncomfortable around most of them. I do stereotyoe sometimes.

People of black American or African decent are humans that have but only a difference in their genetics. The problem lies with stereotypes that are perpetuated by the L I B E R A L mass media and C O N S E R V A T I V E stereotypes. It is quite humorous that both political sides work against Blacks (I refuse to use the term "African American"). Decisions are made daily that would differ because the colour of a man's skin. It is ridiculous but not sickening. It only exists because of the ignorance of man. All of the Blacks that I grew up with have regular gainful employment and live a life no different than mine. Many of the Whites that live amongst Blacks live similar lives among their life-cohorts. Any argument regarding Race needs to end. Facts only. Black guy robs store, black buy must have his hand cut off. White guy robs store, white guy must have his hand cut off. No more of these ridiculous penalties for Black kids doing petty crimes. How about a criminal justice system that is simplified and non-distinctive.

As a tri-racial woman I assure you that you being black has nothing to do with it. I was raised in Hawaii and there are so many Asian American woman with black GI's all over the world that it would make your head swim. I will admit that if they are from a affluent family they prefer to marry in their own race to carry on their blood line and if you had all these Asian friends you should have known that. Most are not from the best of families so the issue may be you not them. Since it seems you are are only looking for Asian, exotic women.

I guess part of it is on you. I'm not trying to be harsh, but if you keep getting rejected, why do you continue pursuing women who are not interested? You're putting yourself through something that's not even necessary.

In regards to your question: When Asian women date outside their race it's usually with White men. That's pretty much the standard, especially in California. I've seen Asian women with Black men (our Black male neighbor is married to a Korean woman), but I find if they are not with an Asian man, they are with White guys. The more affluent the family, the more pressure it is to date an Asian of the same status or a White man.

Women in general are attracted to power. And in American, the White Male is the symbol of that power. Socially, Black men are pretty much the opposite of White men. They are less likely to be highly educated, powerful, rich, and respected than their White counterparts. So in a lot of people's eyes (not just Asians), choosing a Black male as your spouse is a step down on the social scale. And in lots of cases, Asian parents who would only be mildly upset if their daughter married a White man would totally loose it if he was Black. That's just the cold reality of it.

You may be coming off as an Asiaphile who's desperate to meet Asian girls. That would chase away any interested Asian woman. No woman likes a desperate man!

Hope it works out for you!

Hey i just want to say that it may not be you. Most people have the ideal person set in thier head. Many times it is of a certain race. But those who can just look past race have a very narrow view on life. And this narrow view will preclude them from the many joys in life. Many asia etc... are attracted to those of the caucasin race. And many black males are targeted by black and white males and females. So you have many options. So i say to you that you must keep looking for the perfect person. And they probably think that you are too much for them to handle and that may be the case. But you have to keep on trying and when you suceed you can look back and tell those who laughed and criticized you that you made it. Keep your head up.

Yeah, oriental girls r considered the most beautiful women on Earth 2 me, but hey.. I ADORE guys s don't think I'm weird. Umm.. I never noticed this before, but now that u mention it.. it's kinda true. But I think it's because in those parts their races never had much contact with black men except as salves in the old times, so it's kinda tradition that they keep thinking of them as a lower "species".

I'm a german girl, and I've seen black guys that r really cute, my best friend is almost black, and I loove him, he's so handsome!.
But I'm only 1 of 1000000, they're a lot of girl wo like 'em.

Good luck!.

:) a friend.

My 'ethnicity' is Korean and Filipino. I love all men. It doesn't matter. As long as they have a loving, kind soul within, that's all that matters to me. I see beauty in everyone. :).

The same reason black women typically don't give white guys a second look - stereo types are a hard thing break or go against. Similarly, I don't see many Asian women with white guys either. Maybe it's a cultural thing that precludes them from dating outside their ethnicity. Good luck to you on your search.

Maybe this is only in your mind because of the media.
Look, just think they love u and they will love u.
Its all in your mind sometimes and not theirs.
Think more positive, these days and times, noone cares about color like they did in the 1920's.
Life is a new era, and all race should get along.
Folks are more worried about terrorists instead of race colors.
