Cyber Sex? Nah, I don't think so. Just like don't go meet them some place. As long as you don't do that, you're good. It's just the Internet, right? Not like you're actually doing anything.

Yes it is. In fact it has become a relatively popular form of cheating in this modern day and age. Alot of people justify it as not cheating because you are not able to physically touch the other person. However it is that intimate connection you make with that other person and your lack of faithfulness to your partner that qualifies it as cheating. Cyber sex can happen on many different levels but they are all still considered cheating...

I hate to sound like a prude, but i would consider it to be. Cheating is a mindset, not just a physical act and doing that online with a stranger is a betrayal.
Not to mention, I know a couple of marriages who broke up over this as the person decided he needed to be with his online partner....

I think it is. When you go online with the intent to have virtual sex with some stranger while being in a committed relationship then it is, even if your intentions are to just "makefriends" then it turns into something more, you should know your limits. It's just the same as being unfaithful inperson, well except the physical part.

Do you feel bad afterwards? That might be your answer already.
My wife is in Iraq right now... Her and I discussed porn and such... Her and I agreed that some porn was ok... but that "live-chat" was a little too close to crossing the line...
If you are only in a bf-gf situation... thats a different story... but if you are married... I think "live-chat" even if you don't pay for it... is wrong and yes, cheating.

anything that takes your focus off your spouse or partner is considered cheating.
Why do you think spouses of alcoholics say they are married to the bottle?
Or drug addicts partners say they could fight another man/woman but they don't know how to battle the drugs.
The list goes on and on but YES it would be cheating for you to engage in on-line sex with a stranger.

yeas that cheating! i'd b p-d off if my boyfriend was having computer sex or wateva with a stranger...it would make me feel pretty bad to think that he'd rather have online sex with someone than be intimate with me when i'm right here in the flesh. i'd be mad..just put ur self in the position

sorry folks but the defination of cheating is acutually doing it. however it does show a lack of commitment for the current relationship. instead of having a cow over it use it to figure out whats missing and fix it before your partner really cheats or leaves

No it is not cheating it's just the fact of knowing that your unfaithful in a relation ship which defiantly will come back and bite you.
