To answer this question correctly it must be answered in the same way it was presented... It's the gift that mattered most to them. :)
For me it was a new GeForce 7900 GTX video card for my computer and I'm really stoked about it. Some people might consider that total junk. It's all relative.

The happy laughter of my child, the love-light in my wife's eyes, a book about ancient Greek mythology and some maps of the solar system and various islands. Apart from that, chocolate and heaps of it.

my BBQ that Dad bought and put together days before he fell off ladder in early October -> broke hip-> surgery-> painful rehab-> 100% cured -> then died 3 weeks ago peacefully in his sleep from thrown clot
Its the last thing he bought,
I actually dont want to use it
I want to save it
but will enjoy it, crying, remembering how much he loved me and vise versa

Time spent with my family. My mom and brother reconciled some issues and everything is much more peaceful! That is more valuable to me than anything else I received.
Though the mini fridge and microwave my hubby bought for my office is great!

for the first time ever i had a good christmas. i think thats the best present of all. I was happy and compfortable in my own skin. it actually felt good being with my family and being able to buy them gifts.
