I need some free German courses .... can you help me please ?

Question

First I would need to learn the basics of German but I woudn`t bother advanced lessons either ..... I don`t speak German at all and i am very interested in learning ..... the thing is that I don`t have very much spare time and I can`t take some real courses. I suppose there must be some free courses on the Internet ..... please help me ... thanks anyway :)

There's a really good site from Radio Deutsche Welle

They are MP3 files. Put them on your iPod and listen to them during your commute to/from work/school, while doing housework, working out, etc.

I used them to learn German, they are truely free, I was never asked for any money. They begin assuming you know nothing about the language, and go through professional German (5 courses).

To be honest. Without anyone speaking it you will be at a loss.
At first you need a dictionary of the roots of the words.
There you will find out, that all german words have equivalents in the english language. If you have learned these roots, you will learn german much faster than else. It's called the Berlitz-school-training.
Read something of Charles Berlitz, the founders grandson.
He explains it wonderfully. By learning these roots, you can get a quick grip at latin, spanish, french, italian, english, german, and some slawic profounds.

I looked around on the 'net and many sites that CLAIM to be "free" are really just teasers. This one looks like the real thing, and it really IS basic! It's called BabelNation.com, at:
