Why did you get C's in all your courses? Did you really try hard, or just get by?
College gives you an opportunity to have a fresh start. Forget the past and if you really want it, you can achieve. Look for a counselor at your college who can help you with study habits. Don't be afraid to ask, that's what they get paid for.
Then put your full effort into your classes, and set yourself small goals to achieve the bigger one (the degree).
Good luck!

I think if you have the drive and motivation to learn you can accomplish more than you give yourself credit for. Right now nursing is a high demand field. There is a huge shortage of nurses and I bet if you apply yourself to doing this, you will be able to alot. Besides high school is kind of one of those deals where alot of kids get so distracted and don't really take it too seriously that I think it's not that unusual for people to enter college with average scores...Sure you aren't Ivy League material with those grades but you can go to a community college and take courses and work your way up.
Good luck and never underestimate your own abilities!

Hey a C is passing. And don't keep telling yourself your stupid or you'll never do well.
I have my doubts about certain subjects I have to take. Just work hard and develope a good relationship with your teacher. Ask questions when you don't understand somthing. Even work with the school tudors or councelers.
If your that determined to go for that career you will do good. The only way your stupid is putting youself down like you are.

Go see a career counselor and ask about aptitude tests. The good-quality ones are the best measure of your skills and how they can be adapted to a successful career. If you want to do something in the medical field, try going to one of those career colleges, i.e. the Everest Institute or Bryant and Stratton. You can become a medical billing technician, or whatever they're called, that way.

I was a c/d student in high school, played around after wards and became serious about school a few years later. I went on to become a firefighter/ paramedic and currently pursuing my RN and since going back to school have been on honor role every semester. Now that I am serious about moving ahead and not partying it is easier to study and learn, plus when your paying for it by yourself you do not want to slack of and float on by. Good luck so people "me" have to learn the hard way.

Would you want a "C" grade nurse or health care person taking care of you? You have to be realistic. Being a nurse isn't the only thing you can/should do in life. Try to find something that's natural for you. Search your heart for what you're passionate about and can excell in/at. Everybody has genius for something inside of them. Mine happens to be making people feel good about themselves...when I feel like doing it. There are some people that I just naturally hate like hell, LOL! Anyway, find your true calling and pursue that. Good luck.

High school is not a big predictor of who well you'll do in college.I made A's and B's in high school but I had to work 20x harder than anyone else around me. If you work hard and keep your mind on track I'm sure you can become an RN...that's what I'm working towards right now!

You are not stupid! I was horrible in h.s. I think I graduated with a 2.7. I did horribly on my SAT's... 490 I think. I got accepted to a private junior college and had to attend summer school both summers. I graduated from there with a 3.6 with honors and an A.A. Then i went on to another private all girls school and graduated with a 2.9 or something and a B.A. You don't have to do phenominal in h.s. to make something of yourself. Always hold your head up high and be proud of what you did accomplish. Good luck!

You're probably not stupid, you just didn't work hard enough.
Stop putting it off & go to college. If you feel you need something less, try a community college instead of a University. Classes are smaller & less work.
