1932
"The Model B was a new Ford automobile produced in the 1932 model year. It was an updated version of the Model A and remained largely unchanged until the 1935 model year, when the updated Model 48 was introduced.
Strictly speaking the Model B was a four-cylinder car, but it was at this time that Ford began producing a very similar car with Ford's new Flathead V8 engine. The V8 car was marketed as a Model 18, though it is commonly called the Ford V-8 today, and was virtually indistinguishable from the Model B. Until this time, Ford had always produced only one basic car at a time."*

1932 , 221 cubic inch , 21 studs per head . I have one stored in the back of the shop , I dont know what I will ever do with it .
They are pretty neat , you can pull the head off one side and still run on the other four cylinders if you block off the water hoses on the removed side . They had two water pumps , one for the left and one for the right with not cross over water passages in the block. They have 3 mains instead of 5 mains like the modern v8's , which didn't make them popular for racing ( along with the small cubes )
Ford bought the lincoln motor company feb 4 , 1922 , which had a v8 , ford replaced it with ford v12's - so it wasnt fords v8 - i'll have to do more research on this one.
the v7 is a soft wear engine , not a ford motor engine .

According to my Google search, it looks like the 1932 Ford V-8 Cabriolet was the first production Ford with a V-8.

The 6 came out in 1929, the 7 in 1931, and the V8 in 1932, but the v7 was the real engineering marvel.
