I just got engaged yesterday! I am so excited and happy!!! We are going away for the weekend and I want to wear my ring but it is too big! I know I won't have time to get it adjusted before we leave (We fly out on Saturday). Can anyone tell me where to get a ring guard? Or if someone has another idea, please do tell!

You can wear another ring next to it, to keep it from slipping off your finger (that's what I did with mine once)
Also, I am not sure what they are called, but there are little soft plastic (transparent) things that you can put on your ring from inside, that makes the ring tighter (they are like a plastic pipe with a cut along, through which you put the ring... err hope that make sense). you can check on Internet, may be on some jewellers websites. I saw it on a catalogue that sells little useful (no)things came through post.

First of all, congratulations!
There are some jewelry stores who will size a ring while you wait or overnight. Find one in your area! Don't wear that ring until you get it fixed, even with a ring guard. Ring guards can pop off and you'll loose that ring.

Congrats on the engagement! Take it back to the place he got it from, they most likely will have a ring guard.

Go to a nearby accessories shop get a pair to wear with ur hubbywhen u'r bk from ur trip get ring ready & wear 4ever!.. Happy new weds...=D Cheers!

Wear it on a chain round your neck? It's close to your heart then and you can still get it adjusted or whatever.

CONGRATS!!! id wear it round the neck at best..but i would go to every Jewler that I could find to get it sized right away..dont wear it on your finger

take it to any jeweler and ask them for help.
or, wear it on a necklace for now.
or, wrap sometihng around the bottom of the ring loop, like yarn until it fits

Take it with you and get it adjusted when you are away if poss...just think how gutted you would be if you wore it and lost it!!!!
