my husband told me last night he thought we should give each other some space...our marriage is going downhill...help!

Sounds to me your hubby wants to flee the nest. I'm sorry robin I believe there is nothing you can do to stop him. If he had the guts to tell you like that then he has made up his mind. Sorry. Good luck!

I hate to tell you this but my wife did the same thing to me about 3 weeks ago, she started acting funny and told me she needed time for herself, I got concerned because she has done this before so I started watching her at work and I found her having an affair with a black man. I still watch her I am trying to get more evidence, I called her work and reported her. she has really ruined my life and also told me that I couldn't find anyone. She will soon find out different. Please take my advice and watch your husband if you can, if not have someone else spy on him.

Why? That's what you and he need to find out. Sit him down, that is if you both want to, and start getting at the bottom of the perceived problem. What's the cause? Who's unhappy with who? Talk and listen, don't just vent. Just off the top of my head, it's sounds like a sex thing. If a guy says that he sounds like he's getting something on the side or at least wants to get something on the side.Good luck and remember to listen without accusing or belittling.

Go into more detail with him about the reasons for space.There could be other ways of working it out.If he wants to be with someone else,you're better off without him...
Marraige is suppose to be through sickness and in health...
Does he really love you so much to give up so soon?

just do not overreact and do not start cheating on him give him some space and this what you can do start thinking about the past and analyze it and see what would you do differently if you start this relationship again this is how you can make up for it but remember do not screw it up do not cheat on him
