I mean I really dont want the tax refund at the end of the year I would rather have it during the year.... Can I do this? Or will I wind up paying at the end of the year???

The number to claim to break even for the end of the year can be different for each person, depending on their family situation and income. Follow the instructions on the W-4. If you get a big refund for one year and nothing much is going to change the next year, you can file a new W-4 to adjust your withholding.

I usually claim 3 or 4 and I break even at the end of the year.

Here is the link to the calculator mentioned above. Get your numbers together and plunk them in and let it give you an idea of what you should be using.
