I am an American citizen but have traveled to Canada. Canada is a wonderful country much like the United States. There are less people in the country overall but there are many very large cities. Toronto, Vancouver, and Edmonton, Winnepeg are large mostly English speaking cities. Quebec, and Ottawa are mostly french speaking cities but English is equally spoken.
If you are looking for a home in the country there are many miles thick Canadian forests and beautiful untouched lakes. In my opinion this part of Canada is by far the most beautiful. North of International Falls, Minnesota you will find miles of forest and thousands of beautiful crystal clear lakes.
Canada has universal health care and that makes taxes slightly high, but I believe it's worth it to live in this largely untouched nirvana. The metric system is used which will help you adjust the country because you are probably used to the metric system in Costa Rica.
Overall, I believe Canada will be a great place for you to live for the rest of your life. Compared to Costa Rica, Canada is paradise (no offense). They are very open to immigrants and welcome them to their country. Many jobs are available and I'm sure they pay you quite well.
Good luck in your new country!

it somewhat is one among the main suitable places to stay interior the international. remarkable 2-3, or 5... reckoning on the record. you will no longer discover the extensive open areas in Toronto - that's an excellent city in a crowded section. nicely, relative to different areas of Canada. while in comparison with the U. S., consistent with danger. :) the secret's skills, so as which you will detect a job they'd't detect a Canadian to do. Your skills are good - PHd's in Math are no longer great subject-loose! yet, the substantial would be the place you will discover paintings. do no longer in basic terms think of of Toronto - there are a tremendous form of lots greater useful places to stay than that for the period of Canada, that's for specific.

Yes. I live in Calgary, Alberta, and from what I understand, they are changing the entry levels into this country. We are short on Doctors right now and accepting them from other countries. We are just over an hour east of the Rocky Mountains and other than the cold, it is beautiful here and there are many opportunities. I love to travel and see the world, but I couldn't imagine living anywhere else.

Yes and No.
Your doctorate degree won't be recognized, so unless you want to study really hard and pass the exams, you won't be able to do your job. But I know many who have come here, studied for the exams (there are around 16 exams you need to pass) and are now doctors.
If you are up to the challenge, your rewards will be magnificent. Your children's future will be bright, and you will be a great addition to Canada.
Canada is a wonderful country and you won't regret coming here.

Absolutely yes. Without a question.
Unequivocally the best place to live. Plenty of recreation, active sports, highly competitive. Canadians make sports out of anything. They are fun loving bunch.
Their change of seasons every year is a phenomenon that you have to experience. You will thank God for living in Canada.
Free, multi cultural, clean. pristine, natural, beautiful, unspoiled, uncrowded, low pollution, less travelled, more desired, smiling, sporting, courteous, accommodating, understanding, forgiving, generous and on and on..........stop me whenever you want to.
Politics? Canadians politics is boring. You can get excited watching paint dry. You can jump with joy watching grass grow. But Canadian politics, it can put you to sleep in a blink of an eye....... But, they stayed that way for 1 and half century (or more). And they intend to stay that way for another millennium. Nothing is happening here.
Canada. AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH............!!
