Try this: "I appreciate the feeling, but unfortunately the feeling isn't mutual"

Basically, I'd respect the other person's feelings because it might have taken a lot for them to admit it, but at the same time you have to be true to yourself and honest with your feelings. If the love isn't there, then the love isn't there...don't feel guilty for it, but certainly be compassionate to the other person's feelings.

Well I can say don't avoid it and treat him like **** just to get him to break up with you.
My last bf did that to me after I said I loved him after 4 months of going out for the 3rd time in 6 years and he really pissed me off by that....it hurts.

Just let him down gently and say you don't quite feel the same.

If your friend feels that she isn't ready for that then they need to tell that person. They need to say I don't want to lead you on or anything, and tell them that they just wanted to be friends. They need to ask what they meant by that kind of I love you too, but I'm sure that person meant i love you in a deep kind of way. When they tell the person their feeling may be hurt but I think its better to say how they feel now than to lead that person on.
