If the people had respect, love and understanding, they probably wouldn't break up. It's when they don't have those things then there is drama and lots of bad.

Yes you can have a breakup with respect love and understanding if the breakup is mutual and both agree it is the right thing.

More often than not that is not the case. Someone usually wants to remain in the relationship or has grown to dislike the other person so drama is bound to happen.

The good thing is the drama will pass eventually you just need to be patient.

Hang in there.

No, not all breakups are full of drama. Yes, it is absolutely possible to breakup in a good way, depending upon the maturity level of the people involved.

Breakups are as dramatic, respectful or loving as you choose to make them. Invariably one person is more emotional than the other and sometimes they 'lash out' because they're in pain. Maybe the best way is to be truthful but gentle, then have no contact for at least a few weeks until things are less emotional. All emotional wounds heal given time.

Its sort of rare that both people are prepared and willing to let go.

I've broken up with a few girls on good terms, where, after a week or two to cool off, we remained friends.

I have no idea what they did for that week or two... so maybe there was plenty of drama that I didn't see.

Something about essentially being told that someone doesn't love you any more is almost always painful though.

My last breakup was not full of drama. We both agreed that things just weren't working out anymore, and we both wanted to find other people. We both have met someone and grown close because of it.

If you start a relationship with an individual that is immature. When the relationship ends...it usually has all the drama and stupid crap idiots do...when you finally break up with them.
Lack of intelligence and ethics play a role in the finale of the relationship, too.

I believe it is possible to break up with mutual respect. It takes communication and the maturity to accept the inevitable without creating drama.

Sometimes but if one person feels jilted in the least it's bound to get ugly. It's hard to break up that way, I've done it before but it's not the norm.
