It has been only four years since your Brain BEGAN developing the concept of understanding love. You have another eight years before you reach full maturity. Males don't reach it until age 30. Don't worry about such things. Your whole view of the world will change when you reach age 24. After that, you will have over 50 years to do whatever you want.

You're still very young to consider "true love" as something so important to you. Have some fun, get a good education and stop worrying about love. No doubt love will come into your life many times and each time will probably seem like "true love"...at least for a while. Do not search for "true love." It is elusive. Someone once said that if you chase love it will flee from you, but if you sit quietly it will come and rest on your shoulder like a butterfly. And please don't feel like you are alone in your feelings. Most of us have shared your dream at one time or another. And please expect "true love" to be far different from what you expect it to be when it finds you. Good luck to you in life!

You're 16, and you have your life ahead of you. So don't worry! Besides, there's many different types of love, and you'll find as you get older that there's really no such thing as "one true love". But I felt the same way as you, so I understand where you're coming from. Just live your life, and love will find you when it's time.

Just about every girl feels that way at 16. I remember it. It made my life this frightening miserable place...don't worry too much. There is plenty of time. I didn't find it until I was 23, but I'm there now and it was worth the wait.

Be patient, have faith, ask God for help in difficult times.

I'm 37 and used to be stressed too about what the future would bring (I still am, although my worries are different now!). The fact is, some day, you will be married, have kids, probably have a job, a dog, a cat...all of which are wonderful.

Still...enjoy your youth. Like Jesus said, what happened yesterday is gone, the future contains many things beyond your control...have faith and focus on today, for today has plenty to think about as it is.

Peace be to you and your family.

If you're smart, find some nerd who will make money every time he farts and will be so grateful he found a woman that he remains faithful and true. If he isn't fulfilling in other ways, there is always the pool-boy.

Finish High School, stay away from boys, they are all liars at that age, go to college and go for a Masters degree, stay away from men, they are all liars at that age. Become independent, self assured, guard your integrity and a real man will find you so attractive that he will love you forever. Just remember, the only thing men think about is how they can trick you out of your panties, if they say they don't they are either lying or gay.

You don't love you mom and family? They don't love you back?

That's true love. I know that isn't the answer you are looking for, but it's true and you should count yourself lucky. Besides, right now you hormones are just going crazy. That's why you feel like that.

Why? These things happen or they don't. There's no reason to be "afraid" of it. I guarantee you'll never find this fairytale brand of "true love" that you have created in your mind. It's not like you can go out and find love, hon.
