No, and really you just dont know for sure. I had appendistis when I was young, now 30 years later (with no more warning signs) I wake up sick one day and by the eveing I was in the hospital with stomach pain in the center of my stomach, they treated me for food poison (even after my mother told them about the appendistis when I was a kid) gave me lots of pain meds and sent me home. the next morning the phone rang I got up to answer it and fell in devastating pain throughout my intire stomach. I was again rushed to the hospital, where they still couldnt find what was wrong until I started to vomit green. then they decided to do a scope and found my appendix had already bursted. by this time I was minutes away from expireing.... I have been so careful with my adult chirldern that when they have pain like that I take them to the doctor and it turns out to be only bowel problems. there pain gets them in tears, this has happen sevearl times. come to find out they have irritable bowel syndrom. never take a stool softner or laxtive if you do suspect appendistis never....you can have someone push down on that side of your stomach and raise there hand quickly if its a sharp pain go to the doctor. if its dull and cramping it could be bowel. be careful though if it was to burst it could kill you all that poison goes through your system

Possibly. If you're having a sharp pain in that area and you haven't been feeling well then you should see a doctor as soon as you can. You *really* don't want to take a chance and have your appendix rupture.

If you do need your appendix out it's nothing to worry about. It's a very standard medical procedure.

It depends on the location, why don't you look up appendicitis or however that is spelled. That should give you ACCURATE symptoms. Don't freak out, but you should really get to the emergency room for tests.
