I think that anyone who donates their body to science is doing a great thing for mankind

Well actually we know from Scriptures that though the body die the soul lives on either to eternal life with the Lord or Eternal punishment yet the body will go to the earth we will be given new bodies in afterlife. So is a matter of whether you wish to be kept partly functioning so some group of doctors can harvest organs or you wish to let it go. Some will say that in donating your organs you can save someone elses life, yet that is just extending someone elses existence in this world. Thus it comes down to if you believe in dignity of life or dignity in death.
