I think we all have asked that question at least once in our lives! There are a lot of ways to love, but my feeling and interpretation of love is simple yet so complex. I think when you fall in love with someone...you just always want the best for them. You love unconditionally..all their faults and flaws as well as all the good things that made you love to begin with. Loving someone means being honest, respectful, loyale, and giving. It means you can talk to the one you love about anything because they are not just the person you fell in love with...they are also your best friend, your confidant, your support and anchor. Love means being able to be open and honest about everything and wanting to share every aspect of your lives together as one. Don't get me wrong..as humans we all need time to ourselves, but for the most part it's being together on and about everything. There is no room for jealousy, mistrust, or control. Open communication is essential to a relationship. You should be able to tell the one you love anything without fear of rejection or judgement. A relationship is 50-50..give and take..compromise and sacrifice. Being in love takes work to keep it, and if it is true love..it won't seem like work..it is a wonderful adventure! It means going thru hard times and making it thru it all together. So If you are truly in love you will know it...Because nothing(save for a few things)can come between you...But make sure you are loved the same way. You cannot love enough for the both of you..I believe that when you love, the love has to be returned or it will fail. It has to be mutual. It must always be a 2 way street! You didn't say how old you are...But I wish you the best and hope that I helped you at least a little! If you are very young...I would be very sure before you do something you may regret...and believe me when I say we all have been there and paid the price because we didn't know what to expect...that kind of knowledge comes from experience and age, Tho sometimes,(and I've known a few) met their mates when they were young and have been happily married for 25+yrs! It does happen! Just be careful and be sure in your heart of hearts, That it's right before you jump in. I wish you all the happiness in the world!

I think the true meaning of love is to care and cherish that special person you've fallen for. You feel happy when they're happy and no one can replace that person in your heart- in death or wake. You wanna be with that person forever and live a happy, everlasting life together, and hope that those moments will never end. You feel like you wanna support the one you love no matter what the causes or consequences, and you also want to wake up everyday to find that special person next to you or in your arms.

There is probably no more confusing and sense of joy in this universe then being in love. It is the true connection of souls, hearts and minds, a commonality of spirit. It is salt and honey. It binds you, but does not imprison you. It makes you vulnerable and makes you cared for. It says how special you are and how much joy you bring to someone. It is life affirming and does wonders for your self-esteem, self-integrity, and self- worth. It makes you strong and also makes you sensitive. It tasks us to listen. When you love you light up the rooms you enter and no one can mistake the gleam in your eye. Love allows you to enter the realm of human touch where feelings and emotions become actualized.
There is more and I think other responders will add their feelings to answer your question even more fully. Do you know now?

Love is a basic dimension of human experience that is variously conveyed as a sense of tender affection, an intense attraction, the foundation of intimacy and good interpersonal chemistry, willing self-sacrifice on behalf of another, and as an ineffable sense of affinity or connection to nature, other living beings, or even that which is unseen. It manifests itself in feelings, emotion, behavior, thoughts, perception and attitude. It influences, underlies and defines major patterns in interpersonal relationships and self-identification.

The real meaning of love is that you have an unbearable attraction to a person emotionally, physically, and possibly sexually. The way you know that you are in love is that if you are near the person you: Sweat, Can't talk straight, have "butterflies" in your stomach, and you seem to want that person to see or be near you.

The meaning of true love is only based on how you feel about the person. Does this person make you feel good in every way?

Love is what you make of it. If you are thinking about that person all the time, can't eat or sleep, have a happy feeling all the time, then you are in love.
