please give me the best knot for connecting two lines...
the same and different types of line.......
i mainly go fishing on the seafront..... so what knot should i use to connect lines

depends on the sizes of the line your trying to join. If they are not the same size rty an albright. If they are both close to the same a bloodknot is your best bet. Both hold fast. The 2 best are the blood knot and the surgeons knot.
I am not a fan of tieing 2 lines directly together, I tie a swivel in between using a palomar knot when possible.

Same diameter = nail knot
Different diameter = offset nail knot
