neither monthly nor annual. It's a one-time fee you pay for lifetime use. It also entitles you to free periodic upgrades.
Some may ask why pay for the pro version when the standard version is free. I've tried both and found the pro version to be faster and produces better search results.

The fee of $18.88 is a one-time license fee. You pay once, and never have to pay again.

i believe that thats a one time deal, but dont take my word for it try looking in their website for more info and details.
