I am being serious! Ask her if she will call her Dr. if she refuses remove all caffine products in the house eccept the chocolate! If there is no chocolate buy her some, replace her favorite caffine pop with the same brand but caffine free (even her cofee)! Buy her some fresh flowers put them in a vase it's good feng shui! If you can rearranging the furniture will also help, this will indicate new and exciting beginings and try to follow feng shui books to place the furniture where it will work with you both and not aginst you. Make sure the laundry and dishes are kept up, make a lunches & supper and just let her know everything will be o.k. and this will pass - be effectionate! Take care of the baby fully without asking her to do anything!!!! Eventually and sooner then you think she will take over naturally b/c her motherly instinct will kick in and she'll wonder what you are doing with her baby! If this doesn't work call the Dr. yourself and get her an appointment.

Get her into counseling, and get her off all of the white enriched flour off of her diet, that includes, pizza, bread, pasta, and etc,
dark chocolate helps, and she might needs to be place on medications for anxiety and panic disorder, and she just had the baby, so the post partum depression, is the factor.
she needs breaks from the baby, daily, even get a baby sitter to help her during the day, so she is able to naps, and even get out of the house to exercise to the gym.
get her outfits to wear that will look good on her, and still hold her hand and be romantic to her and don't sound like a nagging daddy to her, but a husband who really cherished her and love her, and still remind her she still need to be your wife!
Get her involved in church, mops groups, and mom playdates to talk to other moms who are just in the same situation she is in,
help her around the house, and encourage her to work with you, that you guys are in this together, no matter what that you are stil here no matter how she feels about herself.
Make sure that your eyes does not follow other women right now, that are skinny, no kids, showing alot of body, that will kill all of her selfesteem, for her own husband still shopping for another woman, while she is there with him with his child, and the sacrifice body she made by having your child.
Hopes this help, I have been through this, and made it throug.
It is more hard work for you, having to reach to meet her high expectation of emotional needs, but if you don't you may lose her, lose your family, and never get her back as your wife again.

How long did she try staying on her medications, because in most cases it is recommended you take them at least a month and up to six months before you see results. If she tried them out for a while then I would suggest she see a different doctor to discuss her issues with because she very likely could have been misdiagnosed.
On your part you just need to be there for her and try to read up and learn about what she is going through. More than anything you should understand that she can not do anything about what she is feeling, she has no control over it.

If you love her as you said when you married her, She needs you now more then she ever has. Panic disorder is the worst thing in the world and you cant explain it unless you have had it your self I know because I have it, she NEEDS to see a Doctor and tell them everything she is doing, there is medicine out there she can take and well help. Just be there for her no matter what.

I'm very amazed that "drugs don't work" for panic disorder as most people I know that have it can't survive without them. My advice is to try to talk her into doing to a doctor. If she refuses don't feel bad about guilting her into it with speeches about the best thing for the baby etc etc. Babies are upset when their caregivers are upset so her mental state directly effects your child. There's no shame in needing medicines to stabilize you until you get things to a place that you can stablize them in other ways *diet, behavior mods, etc*. She needs to do whats in the best interest of your child...and that's seek help.

Get her to a doctor (psychatrist) and do so post haste. She needs the help of professionals. Talk therapy would also be helpful at this point.
I've been through something like this myself and I know what I am talking about.
By the way, congratulations on the baby.

Please get her to a doctor ASAP. She should tell her gynecologist and/or the baby's pediatrician. There is all kinds of help out there, and therapy - with or without drugs - can help tremendously. I suffer from post-partum and social anxiety disorder.
