I'm referring more to the actual consumers, specifically those here on Yahoo, than I am the advertisers. I have met tons of people who are exceedingly "pro" splenda, several on Yahoo. They are quick to defend how much better Splenda is than real sugar. No one wants their "it's too good to be true" theory challenged.

I personally don't use Splenda or any other altered sugars. I will only use real sugar-I don't like food products messed with and altered, you just will never know the consequences of consuming these products until many years from now. Remember saccharin? Caused cancer and it was taken off the market for a very long time. These products are only good for people who are not allowed to have real sugar for health reasons. Most use them to lose weight to be honest Americans are bigger then ever so I don't think it works.
