I'm interested in this girl who is a relatively good friend of about 5 years from back in school. We haven't been meeting up that frequently - maybe only 2-3 times a year - but I've also liked her on and off in between that five years. So far, we are not more than good friends (not best friends either) but I'm liking her a lot more each time I meet her and I'm sensing some chemistry between us. Problem is, I don't really know how I should go about telling her I like her. I don't really want make the friendship more awkward but I would like to move on in the relationship with her... How can I go about this?

To tell her how you feel is to risk losing the friendship. You have to decide whether that's a risk worth taking.

1. Ask her out to group outings first, not on single dates. It will give both of u a chance to know each other better and how each relates to other people in the group. She will feel more comfortable going with you to group outings and you can offer to pick her up or send her home or something.
but don't be discouraged if she declines at first, because sometimes girls may think it's not convenient for you unless you ask.
2. Another way is to call her up when it's a relaxed time for her to chat and just talk to her. But don't talk about deep relationships right at the beginning or you may scare her off.
3. Chat with her and at the right time, you can broach the general topic of relationships (what she looks for in a guy and so on) and see where it goes without having to be too specific. but of course different girls are different. E.g. one guy whom I liked asked me the question of what i look for in a man and I was shy at that time so I didn't really answer him ..
4. Look for ways to help her do things.
help her do things.

you should gather up all ur courage and tell her how u feel about her, if you feel it u should say it. If u think there might be something between u and her u must tell her, and u should tell her straight that u like her, if u don't want to go like that u can ask her if she would mind going on a date wid u, .You have known each other for a long time, don't worry about ur friendship, just tell her be honest about ur feelings.
REMEMBER: Words left unspoken break many hearts. SAY IT BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!!!!!!!
