could't find address, contact number and visa is going to expire soon. His health is not sound.

If what is true for US embassies is true for Indian embassies [it might not be], send an email to the Indian Consualate at the Indian embassy in America. Explain the situation and ask if they can help. You should at least let them know what is going on. They should try their best to help you. I know for the US embassy if you are going into a foreign country, you can register with the embassy of your country when you get there. Is is possible your friend did this?

a r u jokin,a u have no idea about the person but u r saying that his health is not good .if a person is missing in a forein country contact ur local police and report ,then with the copy of ur local police report contact i and b ministry india .it would be better u should contact a good advocate for legalities if there is so.also inform c.m ,opposition leader of ur state and ask them to intervene into the matter and help.contact indian embassy in u.s.a and give details about the missing person,also inform us authorities about the same.these some of the procedures.

Hire a private detective. Maybe they can help you. Or call the INS. If his visa is going to expire, they may be able to do something. Good luck.

HOW DO YOU KNOW HE IS NOT WELL IF not heard since last 2 years? try to work around how you found out that person is not well maybe from there you mind find some hints.

Are you screwed then!!! Try to google "search person" and then at the different sites try his name and if anything comes up. You may get lucky otherwise you are stuck.
