Ok, so, I just found out yesterday that we are going to be giving my black lab dog back to it's original breeder because our dog won't hunt, and that's mainly what we use her for, and so yeah, I'm having a really hard time with it, because over the past year we have had it I have become extremely attached. But anyway we are going to be getting a new dog right away after we give the dog we have now back, so does anyone know of any Labrador Retriever breeders in Minnesota, South Dakota, Iowa, or Wisconsin???
Thanks a ton!
:)

Um, yeah, for those people that say giving the dog back is a bad thing, it's not.
The dog is not an inside dog, so it wouldn't be able to live in the house, and my dad hunts as a career, so he needs a hunting dog, and so it would just sit in the kennal, and once a day everyday, be let out to go on a walk and be fed. And so when we give it back to it's original breeder, she will be a lot happier, because she'll be with tons more dogs, and get out all the time.
So f.y.i... whut I'm doing is the right thing to do.

No, I don't, but I think it's hateful what you are doing to the dog you already have!

Do a search, there are a gazillion breeders in this area. Buy from a field breeder whose dogs have proven themselves and not just some guy up the road.

A Lab would not be my first choice for a hunting dog. If *I* were to get a hunting dog, it would be a Vizsla. They usualy have loads of instinct, and are very sweet as well.

After a year, I just don't see how you could give her up. Does she have no worth to you because she can't hunt? What about her value as a pet?
