I don't think you can find an answer to that based on such a general statement. People are people no matter what they claim to believe. Some are good and some are bad. I know plenty of "so called" Christians who are not loving at all. I don't associate with any Atheists, so I can't speak for them.

From the people I've found Offline, Religious people. All the Atheists I know off line are cruel and don't care for the feelings of others.

Online, still religous, but it's close. I've seen a lot of hate going both ways.

Atheists have most of the same reasons to treat people badly as religious people do.

Unfortunately, with the "us vs. them" mentality that DEFINES monotheist religions... the religious folks have one extra reason to dislike others. And it's a big one, as this section demonstrates quite vividly.

Therefore, it's a no brainer. The atheists are more loving, because they are missing one of the biggest catalysts for hatred known to man... religion.

Depends on the person, I'd say it's even... There is nothing stopping an atheist from being kind, and nothing truly preventing a religious person from being evil.

I am a Christian and I think we all love in our own way. I have several friends that even though they do not pratice a religion they are still very loving and caring individuals.
You cannot lump people into a catagory based on their religion or lack thereof.
As a Christian I feel it is an extension of my belief that I show love and mercy to others as Christ has shown it to me. Does this make me more loving than others- not neccessarily- but it ( for me ) does make me more conscience of my effort to show love where sometimes the situation would make me mad, or hurt my feelings and make me want to lash out.

So for me the fact that I am a believing, practicing Christian makes me WANT to be more loving.

People who have God's love are more loving, because loving God is love, and atheists don't have Gods love.
