I feel a lump in my left breast when I squeeze the middle of it. It really hurts when I squeeze it and its not there on my right breast. Its also quite hard. Im 15 and my mum had some kind of cancer that was just a lump and was just there for no reason but she didn't have to have any kind of therapy, she just had it taken out. Im going to see my Dr. but I want to know what you think it is. Thanks!

Your Doc will know much better than the people on Answers. I'd wait and see what he/she has to say.

You know your breast better than any one and if the lump was just showed up I would recoment heading to the Dr. to get it checked out. It could be a lot of things.

it doesn't always mean that is cancer. there are many times when the breast can have fibrious tissue that is benign but feels like a mass, or scar tissue. the fact that your mom had a lumpectomy is somewhat disturbing...because breast cancer can be genetic...meaning you are more likely to develop the same thing because of genes. i'm glad you are going to the doctor and best of luck to you..i pray that it's nothing serious

My doctor found a nodule two weeks ago. He scheduled me for a mammogram the second week in January.
I was scared at first. The worst thing to do is look on the internet because it may be harmless. I'm hoping mine is. I'm 37.

It could be as simple as a fibroid lump occuring due as a response to your period.
