How wiil the Indo-American Nuclear deal help India?

having read all the answers, some of which have all those facts as truthful, yet i dont feel satisfied about them. The main reason is that America, which had its policy not to cooperate in any nuclear deal with any country has bent its own rule. The Million Dollar question here is Why ? First of all their technology is superior to ours, and also to develop and make research for Indians is more difficult but achievable, and also it is expensive. So this offer from them is like the Carrot. THEY are politely telling us, 'LOOK DONT DO ANY MORE RESEARCH, WE WILL GIVE IT TO YOU CHEAPER". Why should they give it to us cheaper ?

First of all They are afraid of China emergine as the almighty super power economically commercially and very threatening way.
Secondly, they Know and have confidence that India Can never be second IRAN, KOREA, ETC.

So India stands to achieve more than America. All that bull about america wanting an airforce base, is a hogwash theory.
They dont want a base here, and we would never allow it keeping in true spirit with NAGN.

India will loose it's Dal for the sake of Brawn. A small story I've got tell you in this context. Once a guy had some Brawn(pottu or waste) approached with a decent proposal with the guy who had Dal saying let us both mix the Dal and Brawn and then share equally. In the process the Dal guy lost 50% of his Dal and Brawn guy got 100% Dal for his Brawn because there is nothing to loose. Same thing India is going to loose it's bargaining power and USA will gain every thing like a relaxed oil market and control over India which it is dreaming from ages. One fine morning a new East India Company will take control of the country pushing Indians back to slavery of pre-independence days. Any way Indians deserve it. An Indian always love to do ghualmi to foreigners than respecting it's own people.

Nothing. Nuclear power generation is a failed technology and is mainly used as a pretext for uranium enrichment. Pak also is a nuclear power, like it or not, and any military supremacy is nullified.
