Your 4ft chain link fence is not going to keep your weim in the yard. My blind weim will and can jump a 4ft fence.
If you have these breeds of dog you are going to need at least 6 foot fencing.
I have two weims and our yard is done with 6foot chain link so they can not jump it.
They are very active very smart dogs who needs lots of exercise and lots of time to run.
Invisible fencing will work with some dogs but weims are bred to be hunters and they do not always respect the shock from the fence. If they are tracking something most will run through the fence and take the shock. Mine will. Even though mine are very well trained they understand they need to stay in the yard but just can not seem to help it when they are hunting something.

I would take Tyke's advice....Are you uneducated with that breed?

Even if you get an 8 ft. privacy fence, I'll bet the dog would be able to climb out. I know a shepherd who has learned how to climb a wooden fence in the corner. He escapes all the time.

Weimaraners are know for outsmarting humans...

Did you not research this breed at all? You're not going to keep her in - you need a 6 foot fence!!

my sister has a weimaraner- chompers a very apporite name he chewed a hole in the side of the house to get inside. well they can JUMP and they will get BIG.they also need lots of room to run and get their excersise. they have boundry collars they are kindof expensive, but worth it just put the boundry inside of the fence and your dog will most likely not even be able to get close enough to jump over the fence. they shock the dog, but not enough to hurt them , just enough to teach them going over there is a no no. good luck !
