Is it ok for kids,7-12, years old to drink diet cola?

Yes- I have a 12 year old and a 7 year old who both drink diet. Personally, I never believed that rumor that "diet soda causes cancer". The only way to get cancer from diet soda is by drinking like, 20 full glasses a day. It is safe. Let them drink it.

Diet is DEF better for them than regular. I wouldnt want my kids drinking soda tho. My 7 yr old step daughter is only allowed, water, juice, and milk. Occasionally she can have a soda but we try to avoid it.

absolutely not, any form of soda is bad as it is because of the extreme amounts of sugar. anything that is diet or lite or anything that makes it in an unnatural state has had chemicals added to it (such as aspartame - which with excess use can increase chances of alzeimers). try to teach them from a young age to stay away from it, rather opt for water (filtered, add flavourants without preservatives to it to add some spark); watered down fruit juice and herbal teas -sweet ones...no need to be boring, but you will see the difference!
