I'm thinking about highlighting my hair, because it's gone a little winterdark. Any suggestions for DIY blonde highlighting that won't dry my hair out or burn my scalp? I usually don't have allergies, but I've had dry hair before and don't wanna get the same problem again.

My advice is to go to a good reputable salon + don't risk playing about at home, particularly with lightening + bleaching. I have had personal experience of blonde gone wrong & have had to get most of my hair cut off due to damage. (This was a very bad hairdresser on home-call, rather than me myself. Damage made the hair so coarse + porous it lost all it's natural curl + bounce so I gone from mid back beautiful curls to just under the ears + hair is still not fully restored to health but is a temporary compromise lest I be scalped.)

Also for winter it can be worth working with a darker look by changing one's make up a little (say deeper lipstick in red, plum tones) & lighten & brighten again for Spring/summer.

Good luck + have fun, but I do stress go to a salon

no count what you do on your hair it incredibly is going to reason some style of harm, yet do no longer hassle. Hair replaced into made to guard us, back in cave days it stored us heat, and replaced into weathered, ext... So it replaced into made to be harm and could take lots. So a splash harm is advantageous. What I do propose, is choose for a hair shade product which will condition your hair whilst coloring it the colour you pick for. additionally on condition that your hair is stripped, you pick for to function a splash shade. There are countless products obtainable, Garnier is one in each and every of them, I even have used it before. yet you ought to locate a product you like greater effectual. additionally use a leave in conditioner and different healthful products on your hair. in case you utilize distinctive warmth on your hair, use a warmth product too. in simple terms in no way positioned any conditioner or warmth product on your roots, it will make your hair seem grimy. my own decision for frizzies is to positioned on my hair twisted in the back whilst i do no longer ought to have it down, as an occasion, whilst i'm being lazy at domicile or going to mattress. I additionally positioned on it twisted on the bus and as quickly as I get to artwork I take it down and brush it out. I stay in Miami the place there is distinctive humidity so frizzies could be a huge issue. FYI something a salon can do, would be employing comparable products you ought to purchase over the counter. the style is once you pass to a salon, you're paying for the right utility, of the product.
