You will need:
- Blow dryer
- Straightener (flat iron)
- A good straightening product that protects your hair from the heat of the dryer and straightener.
- A brush ( duh )
- Shampoo
- Conditioner
- Hair pins
** If you want you can buy some shine mist and hair oil to get rid of those hairs that stick up a little.
1. Wash your hair and condition.
2. Towel dry and distribute the straightening product evenly throughout hair.
3. Blow dry hair while keeping it flat with your brush.
4. When your hair is COMPLETELY dry straighten small pieces of hair at a time while pinning the rest back. Make sure your hair is completely dry before straightening or else your hair will burn.
5. When you are done with the flat iron , if you'd like you can use the hair oil and shine mist to finish it off.
P.S.
No matter what , a stylist will do a better job . ( no offence )
Hope this helps. :)

Get a CHI, they work wonders!! Do not use it everyday and make sure that you take care of your hair. There are all kinds of products you can use to not damage your hair so bad. Talk to your stylist and they will point you in the right direction.

Use a good heat/straightening balm Garnier Fructis makes a good one and a ceramic flat iron. Start with a section of hair. Apply balm, starting at the root affix the iron and smooth the hair over to the ends. Complete this task for each section and style as desired.

Do you mean permanently? I'm not sure about that. I DID have mine straightened by a stylist once - and it turned very red. Horrible.
Most people these days are just buying a plug in straightener and doing it. It's time consuming - but the more expensive ones are faster.

What I usually do because I have long hair is that I put my hair in rollers and I sitting under the dryer for an hour. Then I either use a blow dryer or a flat iron to straighten out my hair.
I would suggest if you have short hair to blow dry it or towel dry and then flat iron.

Try a hair straightener. A normal iron works too...it isn't too safe though.

Believe it or not , an ex-girlfriend of mine used to iron hers. Regular iron on an ironing board. If you do not have long hair, this could be a problem.
