You are right. This has happened to me as well. It's strange, sometimes even our "gut" feeling can be wrong. I guess when we are in the middle of a situation it's hard to see things without rose-coloured glasses on. And then of course, heinsight is 20-20. The thing that I've resigned to do is trust my best friend to give me a truly objective opinion. If you have one key friend who you know a) cares b) is brutually honest, then you know that if you are not sure if you can trust your judgement while immersed in a particular situation, you can trust your friend who wants the best for you and will tell it like it is! Also, the other thing that helps is to be a bit cautious or reserved, maybe even skeptical. I think it would take a lot more to prove something to me now -- like instead of assuming a guy is a great guy -- he'd have to earn that description from me, rather than me jumping to that conclusion because of a few experiences. Actions speak louder than words. If he's sweet but his actions do not back up his words, then that says a lot about what's really going on. So of course, it's easy to be fooled when someone talks a lot -- and then it turns out they are not what they seem.

Yes that is the truth I actually just found out my boyfriend of 5 years was cheating on me for 2 years but I never would have found out if I didnt leave him because THATS when the truth came out..... but what is crucial is that you take chances but make sure that you listen to that little voice if it says this is wrong. And if you find yourself in a mess don't dwell on what could have been but how you can utilize the situation as a lesson learned. Eventually you will be glad you did.

In love, what you don't see is what you get!

Love is perfect in form and appearance, delicate in nature, but fundamentally flawed in practice.

Why?

Human beings are fallible creatures trying to uphold a seemingly perfect institution.

Then quit being so quick to judge people!

Obviously thats what your doing, isnt it?

Take life as it is, and live each day as if it were the last, and enjoy everyones company, and forget about judging them, as they wont judge you so quickly either...

I wish you well...
