Lemme guess, your quality of language says that you're a Moslem.

How much do you really know Christianity to go around advising Christians about their Faith? Next to nothing, I'll bet. Yet, you'll display your Moslem ignorant arrogance and get bashed.

Please take the trouble to study about why these things were said, by whom, when and why and why we have the absolution from the old Judaic practices that your Mohammad revived for you Moslems.

Your kind supercillious behavior will only succeed in riling people and you Moslems aren't exactly the most popular people going, right now.

If you still want to get more people turned against, go ahead and be my guest. You'll be making things more uncomfortable for your kind in the non-Islamic Countries where they are already getting the brunt of things that people like you do.

This is a loaded question with several problems.

First of all, the way it is worded brings your intentions in asking it into question. Are you simply another non-Christian looking for an excuse to insult people who believe differently than you do? I will never understand why non-Christians can by so hypocritical by attacking Christians for being so intolerant (and Lord knows, many Christians are). Two wrongs don't make a right.

Second, the wording of your questions suggests a narrow-minded view of Christianity. You are suggesting through the wording of your question that all Christians think the same, which is simply not true. Stereotyping will only confuse the matter, and is no help to anyone.

Third, your question suggests that you are very ignorant of the Bible. For one thing, the Bible does not tell people not to drink. Jesus turned water into wine, for pete's sake! The eating of pork is forbidden in the Old Testament, which is a Jewish writing that is still practiced by many, but the apostle Paul explains that if what you eat (or abstain from eating) makes you feel closer to God, then wonderful. If not, then it does not matter. The important thing is that whatever you do, you do it for the good of mankind and God. This is Christianity. What you describe is Judaism, which is a totally separate religion.

Finally, that women should "dress properly" is an oversimplification of Christian views of women. To be honest, there are many men in history who have abused women based on the Bible, and certainly this is why you ask this. Closer inspection shows, however, that the Bible suggests that EVERYONE, man and woman alike, dress properly, especially in their hearts. This means being good, loving your neighbor, and setting a good example for those around you. Christianity is not about clothes. It is about a close relationship with God. You may need to reconsider your question.

15:11. Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man: but what cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.

No uncleanness in meat, nor any dirt contracted by eating it with unwashed hands, can defile the soul: but sin alone; or a disobedience of the heart to the ordinance and will of God. And thus when Adam took the forbidden fruit, it was not the apple, which entered into the mouth, but the disobedience to the law of God which defiled him. The same is to be said if a Jew, in the time of the old law, had eaten swine's flesh; or a Christian convert, in the days of the apostles, contrary to their ordinance, had eaten blood; or if any of the faithful at present should transgress the ordinance of God's church, by breaking the fasts: for in all these cases the soul would be defiled; not indeed by that which goeth into the mouth; but by the disobedience of the heart, in wilfully transgressing the ordinance of God, or of those who have their authority from him.

It is also in the bible during a later testament, that we should not judge one another by what they eat or drink, because the kingdom of Heaven is not based on your food consumption.

What is sin to one person may not be sin to all. One person can eat unto God, and another eat not unto God. So whatever we do, if it is not a literal sin then faith becomes the basis, and anything not done in faith is a sin.

God makes and changes His own rules and there is nothing we can do about it. Beforehand it was said to laid with a woman was adultery, later it was said, to even think of her sexual was adultery. Who can we judge, when The Creator is the Supreme Judge of all.

As for proper dress, do not let the world tell you what is acceptable or not. A woman's own spirit will tell her if there is a error. If you see a woman constantly trying to pull down a skirt she is wearing, and looking around to see if anyone notices her anxiety, right then and there she's saying my skirt is too short. I can't even sit down without it raising up. Listen to your heart ladies and obey the voice. Let your husband see you, not the next man.

The new testament says it's ok to eat pigs. And yes women should dress properly but you can still be a seductress and be covered from head to toe. It's also of the heart. The new covenant with Jesus is more than just the "law". It's of the heart and in the spirit too.

1. Because Peter received a revelation (Acts 10:13) setting aside the OT dietary code.

2. Proper dress is a relative thing. A topless Trobriand islander is modestly dressed. The Bible doesn't require a uniform, but an attitude.

If you're talking about the book of Leviticus, then this was the book of laws that God handed down to Moses for the Israelites. The Law was to prepare them for the grace which was to come via Christ.
Christians are not living under the Law anymore, we live under the grace of Christ.
In the New Testament, Paul says we should not worry about we drink or eat, but if one man finds something offensive or vile to him, then as Believers, we should be respectful of that.

Now, on the matter of dressing..I believe a woman should not dress herself to be a temptation to others--but that's opening a big can of worms, here in Yahoo Answers.

I think that was in the Old Testament. There were a list of clean and dirty animals you shouldn't eat. I don't know if the pig was mentioned but I do know that alot of people had leprosy then and that armadillos carry the disease. Eating them is probably how they contracted the disease. I am a christian and I love pork and I don't feel guilty for eating it.

1. Please limit that question to one point.
2. The eating of 'pig' crayfish, etc is authorized in Acts 10 for Christians. The law of Moses (Let. 11) was done away when Christ died on the cross and the veil was rent.
