A friend's mother was diagnosed with Miastenia Gravis and she took medicine for it for 2 years. I had the understanding that this was progressive and incurable. Now, suddenly, she doesn't have it anymore and she looks and acts fine. Can this be??

There is Myasthenia Gravis Foundation that has info on the disease. Apparently the disease sometimes goes into remission and it also disappears spontaneously about 1/3 of the time.
