As of February 5, 2007 Ontario, Canada will be able to return their wine & liquor bottles for a deposit just like we do with our beer bottles.

I can in CA. Just toss them in the recycling bin for pickup. But in Iowa, only certain wine/liquor bottles could be recycled. But it was Iowa, so that explains a lot.

When they put a return fee high enough on the containers to make it profitable to either : responsibly return them; or pick them off the roads and garbage sites to be redeemed. It worked in Michigan for pop bottles. That and a $500 dollar littering fine. Now if we could make them do that with water bottles.

WE recyle ALL glass, plastic and cans including beer, wine and liquor containers. It is normally a city or county decision, not necessarily the States. NW OHIO, Toledo & area.

We have recycling here in Connecticut, that is so weird to me when I hear that other states or actually certain towns (even in CT) that don't recycle.
Your liquor store might be able to take them from you to recycle.
You should ask them......and everyone should RECYCLE!!!
