Wait for the right guy. Don't just go out with someone just because you want a boyfriend. That just seems desperate, like youre trying to fit in with the culture because it seems that everyone has boyfriends. And if you do say yes, you will always have that little longing for that other guy you've been crushing on, which will just make things worse.

There's no rule that you can't casually date the other guy (w/o the big goal of becoming his girlfriend) while you figure out whether 'johnny come lately' has the courage to ask you out. Just keep things casual and don't get too serious until you get to know him better. You might find he has qualities that you didn't know about and really admire. So don't sit home and wait for the guy you have a crush on to approach you b/c he may have no intentions of doing so...and it may have a positive effect for him to realize others are attracted to you. Sometimes we fantasize that the person we have a big crush on is going to be everything we dreamed of...and then are sadly disappointed when we realize that they are totally different after we get to know them. The whole purpose of dating is to get to know someone better. For those reasons I advise you to go ahead and date the guy that asked you out and don't wait on your 'crush' to start moving. Good Luck

you should go out with the guy who asked you out, if you like him,,,,,, do not think of being a girlfriend or having a boyfriend, until you get to know someone, and date them,,, so you can really know if you like them in a serious way and if you are compatible,,,,,,,,, you wont know if someone is the "right" guy, when you first meet them,,,,,,, nor should you wait around for a crush to ask you out,,,,, as you dont really know them either,,,,,

Well since you have a crush on this other guy and it is not a relationship yet, I would go out with this other guy. The guy you have a crush on must be a jerk, since he has not asked you out yet.

It's very possible that you could start dating this new guy and really like him. It is also possible that they guy you're going to wait around for will never come around. I'd say go with the guy who already likes you.
