You are correct, sir. God promised Adam & Eve that they would die on the day they ate the fruit.

What's up? In this particular case God was only kidding.

If Adam and Eve had no longer eaten the forbidden fruit, they'd have lived continuously. Genesis 2:sixteen says our lord god gave guy this order " you're loose to consume from any of the bushes of the backyard 2:17 different than the tree of expertise of excellent and undesirable , From that tree you shall no longer consume, the 2nd you consume from it you're truthfully doomed to die. God did no longer mean that they could die appropriate as quickly as they ate the fruit, He meant they they does no longer stay continuously! Adam lived for an extremely long term, yet finally died. The Bible is an extremely complicated e book and an excellent form of can study it and get a distinctive concept of what issues could mean. that's the reason that's good to study from it, yet to no longer show from it!

Adam did die in "the day". He lived to be 930. A day (according to the Hebrew term) can be an extremely long time period - it can also be 1,000 years, it can also be 24 hours. Adam died before the end of a 1,000 year day.

Compare Psalms 90:4; 2 Peter. 3:8.

Well, he did die "after" eating from the tree of knowledge. The bible showed no exact date and time. Maybe God changed his mind and decided to prolong his life because it became clear the a worst punishment was sticking him with Eve who as it turns out was always talking Adam into stuff he didn't want to do, say like going shopping for new loin cloths

as far as Adam, we was dead in the eyes of Jehovah God. Jehovah told him not to eat from this one tree. he had all the other beautiful trees to eat from. the bible does not say what kind of fruit it was, it only said a piece of fruit. I don't know why people keep saying an apple. it was not a apple. because of Adam disobeying Jehovah and since we are children of Adam and Eve, we are born also into sin. that is why Jesus the Greater Adam came to earth, to die for our sins so that we can live forever in a Paradise earth one day that Adam and Eve lost. they where suppose to live forever. this is in the bible

In the Genesis account God created the heavens and the earth in six days. These were not 24 hour literal days, but periods of time, probably a thousand years each. This would explain why when God said ito Adam "in the DAY that you eat from it you will srely die" he began to die from that day and within the thousand year DAY.

There are 3 different types of death spoken about in the Bible.
Spiritual Death - Separation from God's Spirit
Physical Death - How we determine death
Soul Death - in eternal separation from God and torture for those who end up in hell

When Adam was created he was perfect in having a spiritual, physical and soul life in complete harmony with God.
When Eve and he ate of the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil they suffered a spiritual death that was instant at that time.

If you keep reading further in Genesis to keep them from suffering permanent soul death they were taken out of the Garden of Eden so they could not partake of the Tree of Life and have no redemption of their sins which was done temporarily by the sacrifice God made of the animal that was then used to clothe them with skin for their nakedness. It was also done permanently by Jesus Christ on the Cross when he made a permanent payment of all humans' sins.

Physical death happens in life right now. But it was not intended that way in the first place. We and especially our souls were created to live forever. At the Rapture, Christians will receive their new permanent bodies and at the great white throne judgment, non-believers will receive a new permanent body for hell.

If Adam had not eaten from the tree of knowledge he would have lived forever in the Garden of Eden and would not have had to suffer or experience death but since he ate from it he was exiled from the Garden of Eden and had to suffer, work and eventually die, which he did.

It was when he ate that he began to die. We were originally designed to live forever, with God. He began to feel the affects of his choice immediately. up to the point where God made clothes for Adam and Eve they had never seen death.
