When you are teasing Japan and its worries, let me tell you that you are not taking into consideration of two factors, which are very important in this context. You are not thinking about the magnitude of the impact of nuclear weapons. Since Japan had suffered the same in 1945, she is alarmed at the way the North Koreans develop the nuclear weapons and the delivery systems.
Second, there is no love lost between the Koreans and the Japanese. So Japan had every reason to be alarmed and take the counter measures.
After all, it is a question of survival!

I'm not sure frightened is the right word. Of course living next to a nut with nuclear weapons who shows no concern on what those weapons could do would be a little nerve racking.
Have you ever read Japans' Constitution?
<
Article 9:
Aspiring sincerely to an international peace based on justice and order, the Japanese people forever renounce war as a sovereign right of the nation and the threat or use of force as means of settling international disputes. 2) In order to accomplish the aim of the preceding paragraph, land, sea, and air forces, as well as other war potential, will never be maintained. The right of belligerency of the state will not be recognized.>>
Have you read about the United States-Japan Security Treaty?

They wont be allowed to, and they wont risk it because they NEED the US for trade. And I doubt theyre "scared" of N Korea; because they know the second N Korea makes a move they have S Korea jumping in against them and a good chance of America and Britain coming in to take down N Korea. Hell if N Korea is firing off nukes, China will make make them stop all by themselves.
--
And do you know how much American firepower there is in the ocean over there? Enough to take out N Korea if they decide to just bomb everything within a few days. So unless China steps in, the US will easily defeat N Korea; without even having to step a foot in the Korean Penensula.

in case you go with for the opinion of somebody who's surely in South Korea, I even have been here for 5 years. i think of likely the area would be comparable to while North Korea spark off the nuclear device some years in the past. part of the subject with those assessments are that they are likely to be greater embarrassing then something. The missile launch some years in the past replaced right into a entire dud. The nuclear device did explode, yet my expertise replaced into it wasn't that super and the reaction from the explosion replaced into no longer an entire one, for that reason in a fashion it replaced into no longer a entire success. i think of as long as this missile would not hit something, it's going to be nice. i'm going to wager money the ingredient explodes interior the air (no that's with out absolutely everyone taking photos it down). Incompetence speaks louder then something and the North Koreans have that one down pat.

Japan is living next to a country that uses the threat of war as blackmail. of course they are going to be concerned about N. Korea's missiles and nuclear weapons.
And the nation of Japan has no intention of developing nuclear weapons.
For 'Yoda:' before you make the bogus claim that the US has more chemical, nuclear and biological weapons than anybody else I suggest that you compare how many nuclear weapons Russia has compared to ourselves. Then consider the fact that the US does no possess biological weapons and that we are finishing up the destruction of our (obsolete) cold-war chemical weapon stockpiles.

Japan is just across the way so to speak and well within striking distance. Do they want their country attacked? No they don't. They are not afraid of N. Korea. There is a whole bunch of Western Fire Power in the Far east.

Wouldnt you be worried sitting there with some nut case and ICBM's that could hit you in a matter of minutes??
Japan dont have nukes, and for good reason. After WW2, when they got two dropped on them, they decided they didnt want the things. They wont allow Navy ships in port with nuke weapons on board.
Now you got some nut case sitting in N Korea, who wants to control the world. Its like giving a monkey a loaded shot-gun in a croed of people.
Yes, they need to be worried and America was worried in 63 when we found Cuba putting nuke missles in their country. Kennedy, John the good one, made Russia pull them out.

I'd be a little worried and wary of North Korea also. Is Japan frightened? I wouldn't put it that strongly but they are normally concerned.

Everybody should be afraid of them. If they ever got the word from their leader, Ten million robots would be charging ahead with rifles. They have no personal beliefs, just what they're "Taught" to believe.
