Depending on how old your child is, the answer could vary! My 9 year old son goes to a high class grade school that is public. The school has a "no bully" act into affect. This means that if a kid is bullying another kid then the bully gets expelled..They even have a workshop to all the kids showing exactly what a bully is and why this should not happen. You may want to ask your local school about this program. If the child is older, then yes, the answer may be homeschool. Just be prepared because homeschool is harder than it seems. My neice is a sophmore in high school and she is homeschooled...there is no social interaction and lots of work to be completed...then you need to make sure that the school is accredited by other schools and colleges....a lot of homeschool programs are not, so beware. I hope this helps a little!

You need to add details, who is being bullied, who is bullying, where is it happening and what is the response mechanism right now. What are the antecedents to the bullying episode?

If a child is being homeschooled, then you have a unique opportunity to have one-on-one social skills lessons, and then practice in social groups such as boy scouts, band, park days, etc. What about the child is a target? Usually bullies find any reason, but if you can find those and either minimize them or help the child stand up for himself and defend those quirks, then the bullying will stop.

Christina you are wrong!!!!! there is plenty of social interaction with homeschooling, and my children do the exact same amount of work as their public schooled friends, because i follow the curriculum. In fact they get it all done alot quicker because there are only 4 of them instead of 30.
A for bullying....there is none during school hours but there are still bullies at the park and in sporting teams and other activities that they do, my children are learning to not give the bullies power, if you dont react to it then they will get bored and move on pretty quickly.

Who is doing the bullying? Usually you home school to get away from school bullying situations. This gives terrific relief to the child. They find other friends from the Home School network.(Check the internet for Homeschool organisations and join them).

I'm home schooled but did not leave because I was bullied, I left because the school did not match to how they praised it so much, plus many other reasons.

I think I know what you mean, some choose to home educate to stop their children from being bullied but it really depends what the issue is.

A person can't be a bully unless they have someone to bully. Stop being a victim.
