We are not called "air hostess" but Flight Attendants. Aside from the height/weight/age issue, there is an extensive 10 year background check. And our primary function is for passenger safety. You will be trained to put out 3 different classes of fires, how to use a defibrillator, perform CPR, and how to prepare the cabin and passengers for emergencies and evacuation.
And depending on the carrier, you may sit on reserve status for 5 years or better, meaning you need to have your bags packed and be ready to leave at a moment's notice. Plus, you may need to relocate to a different city to meet the demand of your schedule.
It is not a glamorous life. In fact, your life is put on the back-burner for this career. I'm at home maybe half of the month so dating, doctor appointments, and social outings are all done around my schedule. You will work weekends, holidays, birthdays, mornings, nights, whenever you are needed. There is no 9 to 5 with this job. You can work up to 14+ hours a day. Some days it is so busy you won't have time to eat, let alone use a toilet. And then you have to learn to deal with passengers and their attitudes. Not fun when there are delays, weather, or mechanical issues.
There's a lot to learn in a short amount of time, and if you don't study, YOU WON'T PASS. After graduation, you will be FAA certified, which carries a lot of weight.
Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions, and good luck.

attitude does matter when it comes to becoming an air hostess... the way you carry yourself, the way you speak, the humor... everything matters honey...
the min height is 5.6' i guess... and the body should be in shape... you should have enough intelligence to cover up for your appearence....
you have to be smart ..... face does nto matter that much...
