I don't think so.My daughter was working for the Telephone Co. ,when became of age she applied to a few airlines. United flew her to San Francisco, for an interview. She was hired because she had a natural friendly outgoing personality and that was the # 1 thing they wanted. She was attractive and well poised and this job was a dream of hers all her life. The training was tough and strict and she called home often, sometimes crying that she didn't think she was going to make it because they let a couple more girls go. One for stealing. Today she is retired from United Air Lines with many many Orchid Letters to her credit and No Onion Letters. She has seen the World and enjoyed the ride. If this is your desire and you have these attributes then go for it girl. Be your natural sweet self. No put on, & no airs. IF you believe in yourself, you can achieve.
Good Luck and a Happy New Year to You ! Blessing, jewel

No, they couldn´t fit everybody on the plane. Besides, if everybody is a hostess, then who will be the pilots or the passengers.

Like an job that you would be applying for you must be qualified and have the attributes that they are looking for. I would suggest that you visit this website http://www.airlinecareer.com/ they have a lot of information on becoming a flight attendant.

Hope this helps and good luck!

It really depends on the airline; some airlines are very lenient with hiring and others are very particular (for example, you are required to look a certain way and speak two or three languages). Just like with any other job: it's not for everyone!
