What you describe sounds like Panic Attacks. I used to have them all the time and didn't know what they were. At the time I went through these attacks, doctors thought there was something wrong mentally. There is nothing wrong with your mind, it's all physical and now, they have meds to help. Some of them are anti-depressants. Seek your doctor out for advise. The only way I had to get through these was a little book I found at a book store called "Anxiety and You". Once I knew what was wrong, even though the attacks continued, and that ever present sensation that something was seriously wrong, I knew I would get through it. Take the meds. I rarely have attacks now, very rarely.

Yes, I have thought of things like that.Sometimes it is due to depression.During this time of year it is easy to fall into this. If you are healthy and there is no medical reason and no physical safety issues then you need to find a way to occupy your time. If it continues you might want to seek some counseling

Much stress and worrying can lead to feelings that one is about die---a sense of "impending doom". This can be a spinoff of feelings of paranoia. Also, depression combined with this paranoi can entice an even stronger sense of foreboding.
