Let's see, among the Catholics, there are the Roman Catholic, Syrian Catholic, Cyrillic Catholc, Greek Catholic, if my memory serves me right. The Orthodox has the Greek, Syrian and so on Orthodox Church. Then, you have the Mar Thomite, the Mormon, the Quaker, the Presbyterian, the Anglican, the Lutherans and God knows what else.

And pretty much all of them have the same Bible, but with different Leaders and interpretations of what they think some lines in the Bible should actually mean!?

It's all a "we agree to disagree" kind of a thing going there, actually.

Here's wishing you a Happy New Year!!!!!

Basically because they can not, or will not, come to an agreement over the total accuracy of the Bible.
Some believe one thing others believe another.
As a Christian Pastor that doesn't believe in denominations I run into this all the time.
I may not understand everything the Bible says but I refuse to say it doesn't say it.

I very much disagree with denominations, and as I being a Christian, I think it should just be one religion. But, there's so much arguing about it and all of that, I don't think they'll ever end. But just remember that God didn't make denominations, people did. I actually go to a non-denominational church(A church that isn't any of the denominations, just Christian) and I like it much better then the denominational churches. But, you know, everybody has their own opinions.
Also don't forget that all Christians are going to heaven, you don't have to be a certain denomination.

The same reason why there are so many different versions of the bible! But with the denominations, people started disagreeing with one another with how they believed, etc! So they split and made denominations that would suit them...just as long as they didn't forget the sole purpose of their worship!

A while back, many religions such as Protestants and Baptists became branches of the Christian church because they didn't believe in 100% in what the Christian religion believed in. Therefore, they created their own religion because the Church wouldn't change their beliefs.

It is called "Cafeteria Christianity"

If you don't like what one church is saying, you simply form your own church and say what you want - someone else is bound to follow.

Follow the "Way and the Truth and the Light" and listen to what the Catholic Church has to say - the message has been unchanged for nearly 2000 years.

Because people can't agree with each other. Considering how vaguely written the bible is, assuming the bible is the basis for some religions, then it's not surprising that A thinks it means X and B thinks it means Y. C agrees with A and D agrees with B, and lo! a new religion is born.

True Christianity is the only true religion. It abides by the bible only and accepts no false teachings or doctrines from any other religion or cult. Those that are true born again Christians know Christ as their Savior. We worship no other god and abide by no other doctrine other than the bible.

It's the means that Satan uses to keep people from knowing the Truth of the Bible.

What is false religion?

Why does religion seem to be at the root of so many problems?
The fault lies, not with all religion, but with “false” religion.

False Religion...MEDDLES IN WAR AND POLITICS: How many religions can you think of whose members engage in war?

False Religion...SPREADS FALSE DOCTRINE: Most religions teach that the soul of spirit is some invisible part of a human that survives the death of the physical body. However, the Bible teaches a different doctrine. “The soul that is sinning, it itself will die.” Ezekiel 18:4 Jesus taught that the dead will be resurrected, an unnecessary action if humans had an immortal soul. Does your religion teach that the soul does not die?

False Religion...TOLERATES IMMORAL SEX: Church groups ordain gay and lesbian members of the clergy. What, though, does the Bible teach? It plainly states: “Do YOU not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men.” 1 Cor. 6:9,10 Do you know of religions that condone immoral sex?

How to identify true religion.

True Religion...PRACTICES LOVE: True worshippers are “no part of the world,” are not divided by race or culture, and display “love among themselves.” Rather than killing one another, they are willing to die for one another.

True Religion...TRUSTS GOD'S WORD: Instead of teaching “tradition” and “commands of men as doctrines,” true religion bases its doctrine on God's Word, the Bible

True Religion...STRENGTHENS FAMILIES AND UPHOLDS HIGH MORAL STANDARDS: True religion trains husbands to “love their wives as their own bodies,” helps wives to develop “deep respect for their husbands,” and teaches children to “be obedient to their parents.”

GOD sent HIS SON to lead us in one direction. Man became involved and allowed satan to change things. Man wants to rule and satan wants man to rule so the the TRUTH of GOD will not be known by all. It is possible for each of us to read, study, obey, and find a place of worship that follows ONLY THE WORD of GOD! It is not as simple as it sounds but it is possible with a diligent study. Have a great week and I hope these answers are as interesting to you as they are to me.
