I have been informed that the US Gov't. requires all Russian citizens who wish to visit the US for a short term are required a passport, visa, medical insurance, certain amount of money, must own real estate to prove that they will return back at the end of their visit. What really are the true requiremnts for a Russian citizen to enter the US for a visit? Must all documents and tickets be purchased through an agent of the US Gov't. or an American Embassy? What truly are the fees and requirements for an impending visit?

Usually a passport is good enough with a travel visa. I doubt that there is a requirement for property ownership or medical . As far as the fees go they should be relatively cheap. A travel agent should be able to aquire all you need to get here and back. Hope you enjoy your visit. :)

Yes i'm sure you do the same as we need for a visit to USA. These things are arranged between two countries on a if you will I will basis and there is no agreement with US Things have toughened up a lot since 9/11 on people who enter US and this causes a fair amount of irritation. I do hope you enjoy your stay in UK but be warned it is expensive and particularly in the London area many people feel they do not get value for money and that is just the Brits Your travel agent should be able to clarify this for you or the British Consulate or Embassey in Washington

You'll need your passport and a US visa. Here are some links that will tell you everything you need to know about visas.

You may need a return ticket as well as evidence of funds for your expenses while here. You do NOT need to own property but you do need proof of "compelling ties" to your homeland. That can be as simple as a job and a place to live.

Your nearest US Embassy or Consulate can provide information on costs, processing times, and requirements.

If you have legal status in US then the other person should be fine. She/he needs to show as much proof as she/he can to consulate that she/he will return to Russia in any case and will not stay in US. that is:
Job, real estate, hunbad/wife, children, old parents, money, business etc...

go to State Department webside and got to link for Visas...you'll find everything there.

Good Luck!

Why don't you ask your travel agent? They would certainly be a good source of information on this topic.
