I hunt for food. Deer, Rabbit, Squirrel, Dove, Quail, etc. A word to all those that think hunting is murder, if you eat meat that makes you a murderer as well, you just payed a hitman to kill it for you. Most of the meat in my freezer is from animals killed by myself or a family member. When I was growing up we raised our own beef and my uncle raised hogs. If you look in the human mouth the 3rd tooth is called your canine. That is to help you digest MEAT.

I hunt Mule deer, Elk. Bear and cats On my ranch. The bear we dart and move. The cats we try to trap though we did have to kill one this year. Pronghorn, Mule deer and Elk every year but this year. I didn't take down a Pronghorn this year. The heard was way too small, it must have met the cat or wild dog pack. I spent the last four days hunting out that wild dog pack. There was sixty of them, they made short work of a neighbors sheep herd. They had also started breeding with a roaming Coyote pack.
As a Rancher, I pretty well hunt all the time. From wild dog packs and coyotes that hunt my herds to Mountain lions and bears that use my herds for wall-mart.
Every once in a while I hunt down poachers and rustlers that think I'm their super market.I don't shoot the men unless they shoot first. Usually I just catch them and turn them over to the Warden or Sheriffs office.
I don't hunt many birds, just a few ducks and geese.

I hunt deer, ducks, geese, grouse, squirrels, and rabbits. I think I enjoy rabbits almost as much as anything though. There's just something about hearing my beagle barking on a hot track that makes my blood rush.

Yeah, I love hunting. I'm only fifteen, but my Uncle lives in Paraguay (South America), so he takes me into the wilderness for a few days when I'm down there. We hunt crocodile, wild boar, deer, and pheasant. The pheasant are easy to find and we shoot a lot of them so we can make a stew. I use a 20 ga. shotgun and my uncle uses a 12 ga. By the way, we eat everything we shoot.
The deer are not like the deer in the U.S. They are only about four feet tall and are very, very hard to find. There are alot of them but they generaly only come out at night, so we hunt them with a big spotlight. We use 12 ga. slugs (My uncle has a semi-auto 12 ga. I think that's illegal an the U.S.) and a .223 (fitted with a scope and loaded with bullets that have exploding points, we always use exploding points in the .223. I'm positive that this is illegal in the U.S.)
The wild boar run in herds of anywhere from hundreds to thousands. They will literally eat you if they see you. We usually wait by a water source in trees and then snipe them with a .223. You NEVER let them see you if you're on the ground, they would stampede you and rip you apart with thier huge tuscs. Even so, my uncle is sometimes lucky enough to find one that has wandered from the herd. If he does, he'll take it on very close range with his .45 pistol and a knife.
The crocodile is the most fun to hunt. They are very tricky, because as soon as they see you they go underwater. We find them in the swamps and sunning themselves on logs in the swamp. Since we don't want to kill anything if we won't eat it, we have to find one that we can get to after we shoot it. For example, we wouldn't shoot one that is on a log in the middle of the swamp, because we wouldn't be able to go get it afterwards. If one of them is lurking by the edge of the swamp, it's fair game. Sometimes they have only their eyes above the water. In that case, we take the .223 and shoot right between the eyes. Most of the time, however, we find them sunning themsevles. They are very smart animals, so it's hard to sneak up on them. About half of the time we shoot them with the .223 as they are running away towards the water. This is very hard to do because as they run, their heads move from side to side. You can only shoot them in the head, otherwise it takes days for them to die. Yes, we do eat the crocodile. The tail is considered a delecacy by the Paraguian ranchers. It tastes like fish, but it is a little tougher and a lot more flavorful. We cut it up into bite-sized peices which we dip in some eggs. Then we roll them in flour and spices. Last, we put them in a cast iron cauldron and fry them in oil.
